Description
Iceland is a country that can undoubtedly be called the land of nature’s excesses. There are more than a hundred volcanoes in Iceland, along with over 10,000 waterfalls, and more than a tenth of the island is covered by ice. The country is renowned for geysers, a geological phenomenon that originated in Iceland, and volcanoes, which have played and continue to play a significant role in shaping its unique and dramatic landscape.

Iceland is an island located in the North Atlantic Ocean, between Greenland and Europe. Its capital city is Reykjavik, and the official language is Icelandic. The country covers an area of 103,125 square kilometres and has a population of 399,189 people. The official currency of Iceland is the Icelandic krona.
